Alexandra Pauliat

Alexandra PAULIAT is a journalist with 25 years experience in the documentary and news industry.
She’s currently the Executive Producer of Al Jazeera current affairs and investigative program People and Power.
Prior to that, she co-founded TRT World’s flagship documentary series Off the Grid. On top of her Executive Producer role, Alexandra directed many episodes mainly on human rights, war crimes and environmental issues in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. Off the Grid received multiple international awards including an International Emmy Awards in 2023.
After getting her post-graduate degree in International Relations from the Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations in Paris, Alexandra started her journalism career at the AFP Bureau in Kuala Lumpur. She was then part of the launching team of France’s international news channel, France 24.  She joined Al Jazeera English when the Arab Spring started. She’s been based in the Middle East for the past 15 years.
